JUNGENBERG CHARDONNAY 2015
100% Chardonnay growing on slate soil - Organic
Pale gold colour, stony nose and aromas of fresh carambola and oak. On the palate, fine aromas of ripe exotic fruits, salty minerality. Dense structure with harmonic acidity. Long juicy finish.

White meat, grilled fish, pasta, stews.
The grapes were handpicked in the middle of September. After destemming and maceration on the skins for 12 hours, the grapes were pressed. The juice fermented with the natural yeast in French oak barrels of 500 litres and concrete eggs. After ageing for 14 months in barrel, the wine was bottled in March 2017.

2015 was a hot vintage without bigger problems of fungal diseases or Botrytis. It produces great read wines and elegant white wines, with a lot minerality, if picked early enough.
